Sleepy Court Artifact Estate Guide

On Seirai Island, there is a secluded cave that is hidden from outside view. Previously, this cave didn’t have many purposes (except for that one Daily Commission). After Genshin Impact 2.3, this cave now hosts the entrance to Sleeping Court Estate. The lower level of this location has basic enemies, but the upper level contains some of Inazuman’s newer enemies.

For players who like geo defensive characters and healers, this area will be their best friend. However, for travelers who are struggling to complete this challenge, here are some tips and comps they can try to lighten their time.

Sleepy Court Ley Line Disorder

Every usable area in Genshin Impact has a leyline disorder that serves as a buff and debuff that travelers can use (or avoid). For Slumbering Court, here’s what people need to know:

  • All characters in the party gain a 40% Electro DMG bonus.
  • When an active character triggers Electro-Charged on opponents, it will unleash a Shockwave that inflicts True DMG on opponents. A shockwave can be triggered this way once every 3 seconds.

In short, players will have an easier time if they bring in Electro and Hydro characters the challenge.

How to Beat Sleepy Court Tier 1 & 2

Sleepy courtyard Level 1 and 2

List of level 1 and 2 enemies

sleeping courtyard 1

  • 1 crackling ax mitachurl
  • 2 Large Hydro Slime
  • 7 Hydro Slime

sleeping yard 2

  • 2 Mitachurl Crackling Ax
  • 2 Large Hydro Slime
  • 3 Hydro Mud
  • 3 Hilichurl electro shooter
  • 3 Hilichurl Berserker

Character recommendation for levels 1 and 2

  • Electro Characters: Beidou, Fischl, Keqing, Raiden Shogun, Razor
  • Cryo Characters: Eula, Ganyu, Ayaka, Rosaria, Kaeya
  • Anemo characters: Venti, Sucrose, Kazuha
  • Pyro Characters: Hu Tao, Diluc, Klee, Xiangling, Yanfei

For levels 1 and 2 of the Sleepy Court Estate, travelers will see a lot of small enemies. Therefore, Anemo characters would be a great choice to control them.

Since there are a lot of Hydro sludge, getting Hydro characters to this level would not be very effective. Instead, players can bring Electro characters to trigger the Leyline buff, or Cryo units to permanently freeze enemies.

As for Pyro units, they are usually very powerful, to begin with. When facing Hydro enemies, characters can easily trigger Vaporize Elemental Reaction, amplifying their damage by at least 50%.

How to Beat Sleepy Court Tier 3 & 4

Sleepy courtyard Level 3 and 4

List of level 3 and 4 enemies

sleeping yard 3

  • 4 Thundercraven Rifthound Whelp (Wave 1)
  • 1 Thundercraven Rifthound (Wave 2)
  • 2 Electro Hilichurl Shooter (Wave 2)

sleeping yard 4

  • 7 Thundercraven Rifthound Whelp (Five Whelps spawn at start. A new monster will spawn each time a Whelp is killed)
  • 1 Thundercraven Rifthound
  • 1 crackling ax mitachurl

Character recommendation for levels 3 and 4

  • Electro Characters: Beidou, Fischl, Keqing, Raiden Shogun, Razor
  • Hydro Characters: Sangonomiya Kokomi, Xingqiu
  • Dedicated Healer: Sangonomiya Kokomi, Barbara, Qiqi

The upper level of the Sleeping Court estate consists of Electro Rifthounds. This time there are no Hydro monsters, so players must bring their own Hydro units. Characters like Kokomi and Xingqiu are great for applying the element and dealing decent damage.

Because greyhounds can apply Corrosion, dedicated healers like Barbaric will help the battle immensely. Other healers like Bennett and Diona may be insufficient as they rely solely on Elemental Burst to heal.

  • Corrosion: continuously loses HP every second. Active characters can be downed by this debuff. When a non-active character’s HP is below 15%, they will no longer lose HP due to Corrosion.

Sleeping Court Enemy

Usually, if an enemy is carrying a certain element, they have a higher resistance to that element. However, Rifthounds do not share this trait. Instead, if Travelers attack Wolves with the same element (e.g. using Electro on Electro Rifthounds), the Rifthounds will enter Devouring state. In this state, their attack becomes stronger, but the resistance of their corresponding element will be lowered. In short, attacking Thundercraven Rifthound with an Electro attack will make them weaker to Electro than to other elements.

Therefore, while it may seem counter-intuitive, using Electro is actually the best option to easily defeat this opponent.

Sleeping Court Estate Reward

Sleeping Court Reward

The reward for Slumbering Court Domain varies depending on its level. At levels 1 and 2, players cannot obtain 5-star artifacts. At level 3, there is a chance to get the golden artifact. At the highest level, travelers are guaranteed to have at least one 5-star artifact.

  • Defender’s Will (3-star and 4-star artifacts)
  • Brave Heart (3-star and 4-star artifacts)
  • Husk of Opulent Dreams (4-star and 5-star artifacts)
  • Ocean-Hued Clam (4-star and 5-star artifacts)
  • 100 Adventure Experience
  • 1850-2525 Mora
  • 15-20 Companionship Experience

Due to the guaranteed 5-star system, players are advised to start farming Artifacts after reaching Adventure Rank 45 (and not before).

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
