Domain Capital Group, LLC, a full-service private investment management firm, today announced that its subsidiary, Domain Timber Advisors, LLC, has completed the purchase of 1,672 acres of timberland in western Georgia, expanding the company’s Southeast lumber portfolio.
The purchase includes two tracts of lush woodland — called “Whitewater Creek” in Heard and Troup counties — within 10 miles of the I-85 corridor and 60 miles southwest of Atlanta. The property, rich in young loblolly pines, creates a prime opportunity for the sustainable management of forest land and the sale of land for better use due to its extensive road frontage, multiple access points and population in boom in the region.
